Bennett Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, Computer System Administrator. The successful candidate will directly support the US Army community in Charleston (Goose Creek), SC.


The successful candidate will serve as a Computer System Administrator applying advanced knowledge of IA concepts, practices, and procedures within the computing environment. This individual will provide all touch labor and maintenance (software / hardware / configuration management etc.) for servers, networked printers, MS Active Directory administration, HBSS and ACAS using advanced independent judgment for resolution of problems with limited supervision.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • examine potential security violations to determine if the security policy has been breached, assess the impact, and preserve evidence;
  • recommend and schedule IA related repairs in the NE;
  • Complete administration for a 500+ user/computer distributed environment spread over a 300 acre base in a MS Active Directory/Cisco environment;
  • perform IA related customer support functions including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training, in response to customer requirements at the Workstation or Network level;
  • analyze patterns of non-compliance and take appropriate administrative or programmatic actions to minimize security risks and insider threats; manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment;
  • administer and manage Active Directory, Group Policy, GPO creation, etc.;
  • analyze system and network performance for potential security problems;
  • administer and manage Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM);
  • assess the performance of IA security controls;
  • identify IA vulnerabilities resulting from a departure from the implementation plan or that were not apparent during testing;
  • administer and manage McAfee Intrusion Detection System and ESM;
  • configure, optimize, and test network servers, routers, switches, and other computing appliances, to ensure they comply with security policy, procedures, and technical requirements;
  • administer and manage of DoD Host Based Security System using McAfee ePO (HBSS);
  • install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating systems software and hardware to comply with IA requirements;
  • administer and manage DOD Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS);
  • evaluate potential IA security risks and take appropriate corrective and recovery action;
  • ensure that hardware, software, data, and facility resources are archived, sanitized, or disposed of in a manner consistent with system security plans and requirements; and
  • complete other responsibilities as defined in DoD 8570 IAT II job functions;
  • responsible for administration of 50+ Cisco Switches using IP Routing,  VLANS, Port Security, trunking, and fiber optics in accordance with DISA STIG standards;


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have experience in IA tech or related field;
  • Must be able to meet deadlines on projects;
  • Must have good English communication and analytical skills;
  • Must be a US Citizen due to security requirements;
  • Must be able to work independently, be results-oriented, and be well-organized;

Minimum Required Education/Training and Experience:

  • Must have experience with Cisco Network Administration
  • Must have Windows Server 2012 administrative experience
  • 0-3 years of Systems Administration experience or equivalent
  • An existing DOD IAT II rating is highly preferred.


  • Must have a Security+ certification.
  • Windows 7 Certification required
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) required


  • MS Windows Server 2012R2 certification preferred
  • Microsoft SCCM experience, DISA or HBSS experience preferred

Reasoning Ability:                                                           

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; and
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Security Restrictions:

  • Must be a US Citizen due to US Government security requirements;
  • Must have a DoD SECRET security clearance.
