Bennett AerospaceInc. has an opening for a highly motivated Scientist II (Chemist) in support of  a Federal Law Enforcement client located in Arlington, VA and the D.C. Metropolitan Area.  The successful candidate will support all professional and technical services to the law enforcement unit.  In addition, the successful candidate will report directly and responsively to the Bennett Aerospace Program Manager on all immediate project work.


Job Description:


A qualified Scientist II will work with some direction on assignments. This individual will conduct research and analysis on key scientific initiatives in furtherance of the agency’s mission.

Duties may include providing administrative support as follows:


  • Provides information on technical and scientific issues gathered from a variety of sources both internal and external to the agency
  • Conducts in-depth research and analysis on key scientific initiatives, drug use and abuse trends, and national/international initiatives
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements: 


Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a Science such as Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, General Health Science, Drug Science, Pharmacy, Epidemiology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Statistics and/or other related Sciences with a strong Chemistry background.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as Scientist in a Science discipline. Applicants for this position must have a minimum of 1 year of professional experience.
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • General knowledge of Information Technology systems and Communication tools

Abilities and Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with minimal oversight.
