Job Description:

 

Bennett Aerospace, Inc. has an *immediate* opening for a highly motivated PC Support Technician. The successful candidate will directly support the US Army at Goose Creek, in Charleston, SC in a team environment providing technical user assistance and trouble shooting support to over 400 users in a Windows 10/ Active Directory.

Responsibilities

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned

 

  •  Answer the helpdesk phones and provide remote and touch labor support to users.
  •  Deploy new software to user computers.
  •  Installs, troubleshoots, services, and repairs PC workstations, printers, peripherals, and related PC software. 
  •  Deploy system images to computers. 
  •  Conduct annual hardware refreshes, including maintaining customer data during replacement. 
  •  Set up new users, including both account configuration and initial training and orientation, and account creation when necessary. 
  •  Maintain a log of all activities in a ticketing system. 
  •  Provides support for networked PC workstations under guidance of the Systems Administrator for Information Assurance (IA) compliance.
  •  Knowledge and operation of VTC and SVTC systems.
  •  Knowledge and operation of audio visual and projection systems.
  •  Recognize a potential security violation, take appropriate action to report the incident as required by regulation, and mitigate any adverse impact.
  •  Apply appropriate access controls.
  •  Implement and monitor IA safeguards for system(s) in accordance with implementation plans and standard operating procedures.
  •  Comply with system termination procedures and incident reporting requirements related to potential security incidents or actual breaches at a desktop level.
  •  Implement applicable patches including information assurance IA vulnerability alerts (IAVA).

Education and Experience:

 

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: 

  •  2-3 years of experience with helpdesk, hardware/software support.
  •  Must have Security+ CE and Windows 10 training/certification (SkillPort accepted).
  •  Must have a current, active Secret clearance. 
  •  Must have excellent interpersonal/communication skills and technical writing skills to provide exceptional customer service. 
  •  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to handle; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more. 
  • A current DOD IAT II rating is required

Security Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen due to US Government security requirements;
  • Must have at a minimum a SECRET security clearance.

Abilities and Skills:

  • Must have experience in IA tech or related field;
  • Exceptional character and professional references;
  • Must be able to meet deadlines on projects;
  • Must have good English communication and analytical skills; and
  • Must be able to work independently, be results-oriented, and be well-organized;
