Job Description:


Bennett Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated System Administrator. The successful candidate will directly support the US Army Sustainment Command within a team environment providing technical user assistance, and troubleshooting support to over 400 users in a Windows 10/2012R2/Active Directory environment.

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned

  • Design, create, maintain software system images for Windows 10 clients and Windows 2012R2 machines and deploy using Windows Deployment Services and drive cloning techniques.
  • Perform Tier-II troubleshooting of complex system-wide technical problems.
  • Configure and maintain server chassis hardware; to include RAID, Bitlocker, BIOS configuration, and networking protocols.
  • Repair or replace server and network hardware in accordance with manufacturer's warranty procedures.
  • Use installation trouble ticketing system (Remedy); or facility provided equivalent.
  • Perform Active Directory object administration to include: user and computer accounts, security groups, OU containers, and service accounts.
  • Provision and manage email accounts using DISA Entitlement Manager Tools.
  • Ensure all systems are STIG compliant, scanned regularly using ACAS and SCAP tools, remediate any findings within prescribed DoD guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and administer McAfee HBSS on all client workstations and servers. Monitor the system for threats to the network.
  • Administer a Cisco network infrastructure. Perform low-level port security and VLAN assignment functions. Perform basic Cisco switch configuration and administration.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity using tone generator and probe; visual fault locator tools.
  • Administer a variety of multi-function devices, network and standalone printers to include a Windows print server.
  • Use Tenable Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scanning tools and reports to remediate system-wide vulnerabilities.
  • Use Microsoft System Center and Configuration Manager (SCCM) to monitor the system for patch status and deploy third-party software packages.



To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • System Administration experience of 2+ years with server software, hardware, and Active Directory support.
  • Must be able to certify at DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical Level 2
  • Security+ CE certification and Server 2012R2 equivalent training or certification. (Skillport accepted)
  • Must have a current, active Secret clearance.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal/communication skills and technical writing skills to provide exceptional customer service.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to handle; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Knowledge of IP protocols and use of single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic technology.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.


Preferred Qualifications:


Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Technical certifications, such as: MCSA Windows 2012R2, A+, Network +, CASP, Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) or Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA).
  • DISA Host-Based Security System (HBSS) training and experience
  • DISA Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) training and experience
  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) experience
  • Current or prior military service
