Bennett AerospaceInc. has an *immediate* opening for a highly motivated IT Security Engineer in support of a Federal Law Enforcement client located in Washington, DC.  



Job Description:


The IT Security Engineer shall provide expert advice on all IT Security related areas.

Duties may include as follows:

  • Developing IT Security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures
  • Ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information and systems
  • Planning, coordinating and ensuring successful completion of internal and external IT system security/policy audits
  • Supporting the Department's Cyber Security Assessment and Management (CSAM) system
  • Developing, maintaining and managing the Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) reporting
  • Developing an enterprise risk management framework
  • Establishing an Enterprise Continuous Monitoring Program.
  • Develop and maintain IT security education awareness and training.


Job Requirements:


 Education and Experience:

  • Must have a BS in Information Technology, Mathematics or related discipline AND 10 years of technical work experience, with 8 of those years’ experience in a specialty discipline at the senior level OR
  • A Master of Science degree in Information Technology, Mathematics or related discipline AND 8 years of technical work experience, with 6 of those years’ experience in a specialty discipline at the senior level.
  • 3+ years’ experience in configuration and using various security and network application scanning tools is required.

Abilities and Skills:

  • Must be a Certified Information Systems Security Professional OR a Certified FISMA Compliance Practitioner
  • Must have familiarity with government regulations, laws, National Institute of Standards and Technology guidance, and Office of Management and Budget mandates for IT Security.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance or higher (must be a U.S. Citizen)

  • Successful Pass of Department of Defense Security Clearance
