Job Description:

 

Bennett Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated, Operations Support Specialist (USASOC) to begin working in April 2018. This position directly supports the US Army Special Operations Command, G9, Science and Technology Division at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina.

  

The successful candidate will demonstrate the character and aptitude to support the mission of the Science and Technology (S&T) Division and thrive in a fast paced military office environment.  Critical attributes include self-motivation, personal initiative, solution orientation, adaptability to change, team player, and an adaptive learning style.  The role of the Operations Support Specialist (Project Administrator) is to provide a wide range of administrative program management support and analysis, investigation of new technologies, and assistance in execution of all phases of development and execution of S&T initiatives.  Minimal travel required (less than 10%).

Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned

  • Set up and administer procedures for offices and perform general office duties such as
    ordering supplies, maintaining records and management systems.
  • Manage information and content essential for S&T operations, including both internally and externally developed data. Analyze and deliver data to key stakeholders.  Distribute content within the division and the command, and outside the command to industry and academia according to regulations and policies.  Manage content distribution, databases, newsletters, and official publications for release according to security guidelines and policies.
  • Create and display various content related to S&T Operations, projects, and acquisitions information. 
  • Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries.  Prepare agendas, and make arrangements for program reviews and other meetings as well as attend meetings in order to record and distribute minutes. 
  • Review operating practices and procedures in order to determine whether improvements can be made in areas such as workflow, reporting procedures, or expenditures.
  • Prepare recurring office status reports based on input from other team members.
  • Coordinate and perform office services, including preparation of office status reports and budget preparation, in order to aid S&T Division executives.
  • Conduct research, compile data, and prepare papers for consideration and presentation by senior leaders. Provides knowledge and capability in the use of personal computers and various databases to find and research various topics as needed to facilitate briefings, projects, and S&T development.
  • Track and account for financial resource allocation, distribution, obligation and expenditures.
  • Manage and maintain schedules and make travel arrangements.
  • Complete other duties as required or assigned by Bennett Aerospace.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

 

  • 3-5 years of experience in administrative and clerical procedures and systems
  • Familiarity with procedures for staffing military correspondence within a Headquarters organization
  • Associate Degree minimum education required: Bachelor's Degree desired

Security Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen due to US Government security requirements;
  • Must have at a minimum a SECRET security clearance.

Abilities and Skills:

  • Proven oral and written communication skills
  • Expert in the entire MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.  Functional knowledge of MS SharePoint desired.
  • Skilled in administrative procedures, including professional communications, content management, and use of forms
  • Familiarity with Information Technology concepts
