    Bennett AerospaceInc. has an opening for a highly motivated Secretary IV in support of  the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC, Corona Division) located in Norco, CA.  The successful candidate will support all professional and technical services of the NSWC and will lead a team in one or more departments.  In addition, the successful candidate will report directly and responsively to the Bennett Aerospace Program Manager on all immediate project work. 

     

    Job Description:

     

    A qualified Secretary IV uses greater judgment and initiative to determine the approach or action to take in routine and non-routine situations. This individual interprets and adapts guidelines, including unwritten policies, precedents, and practices, which are not always completely applicable to changing situations.

    Responsibilities

    Performs varied duties including or comparable to the following:

     

    • Employee shall perform office-related duties including operating office equipment, filing, typing, and reception duties
    • Other duties include screen telephone calls, data entry, and shall review Government employee timekeeping information
    • Input and coordinate travel orders for Government travelers utilizing the Defense Travel System (DTS) in accordance with Commercial Travel Management: Defense Travel System
    • Prepare documents, minutes, and action item tracking in support of meetings and video/teleconferences
    • Format and edit official correspondence documents
    • Copy, cut, collate, and bind documents
    • Compile and maintain supply order documentation
    • Maintain recurring internal reports, such as time and leave records, office equipment listings, correspondence controls, and training plans
    • Complete Records Management Training annually
    • Assist with Safety Building Representative Duties and Building Fire Warden Duties relating to Safety Measures for the respective buildings
    • Assist with Safe Custodian duties for locking up and maintaining classified documents
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    • Minimum of an Associate's degree required.
    • Must have 5+ years of secretarial support experience.
    • Must have experience leading administrative functions, Navy experience preferred.
    • Requires word processing skills, general writing skills, computer skills.
    • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
    • General knowledge of Information Technology systems and Communication tools.

    Abilities and Skills:

    • Requires strong interpersonal skills.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills, with strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
    • The ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume, tight deadline environment.

    Security Restrictions:

    • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an active US Government Secret security clearance.
    • Current Active Secret Clearance preferred.
    • Applicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.
