    Bennett AerospaceInc. has an *immediate* opening for a highly motivated Community Outreach-Drug Prevention Education/Subject Matter Expert II in support of  a Federal Law Enforcement client located in Washington, DC.  The successful candidate will perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities to support outreach and education initiatives.  The contractor will research, analyze, plan, organize, coordinate, and implement initiatives to facilitate awareness of prescription drug trafficking, abuse, and outreach programs within the field division’s area of responsibility which includes the Medical and the Pharnaceutical community.  In addition, the successful candidate will report directly and responsively to the Bennett Aerospace Program Manager on all immediate project work.


    Job Description:


    A qualified Community Outreach-Drug Prevention Education/Subject Matter Expert II will work independently provide support as required to conduct increasingly more outreach to establish and maintain liaison and working relationships with other federal agencies; foreign, state, and local governments; industry and associations; community organizations; and the regulated community.   This individual will provide management with expert scholarly advice, and consultation to projects and professional co-workers in furtherance of the agency’s mission.

    Duties may include providing administrative support as follows:

    • Research, analyze, plan, organize, coordinate, and implement initiatives to facilitate awareness of prescription drug trafficking, abuse, and outreach programs within the field division’s area of responsibility.
    • Provide information and develop cooperation with appropriate community-based groups, local/regional representatives of national partnering organizations, the regulated community, and representing associations.
    • Establish partnerships with representatives of government and law enforcement agencies, local/regional/national organizations, community groups, industry, and associations.
    • Assess and pursue outreach and education initiatives to more effectively address diversion issues and concerns.
    • Organize and avoid conflicts when planning training seminars, lectures, conferences, meetings, and activities relevant to education and outreach programs.
    • Prepare qualitative and quantitative assessments to determine related needs, priorities, and capabilities.
    • Coordinate, organize, and oversee conferences and other events and to increase local media interest, as well as requests for expenditures and funding related to field division outreach and education programs.
    • Maintains key information and identifies potential sources for needed funding, and submits projections.
    • Participate in discussions, meetings, conferences, and conference calls with agency administrative, business analysts, technical personnel, and other federal agency officials;
    • Assists project members with analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts in specialty areas;
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


    Job Requirements:


    Education and Experience:

    • Master’s degree or higher in a scientific, technical, or business discipline preferred, experience may be considered for education.
    • Minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience, culminating in current role as a senior technical/business professional who acts as an adviser in complex and critical client projects.
    • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • General knowledge of Information Technology systems and Communication tools.

    Travel Requirements

    • The individual must be able to travel up to 10% of the time within the area of regional responsibility.

    Abilities and Skills:

    • Knowledge of a wide range of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to conduct related research and assessment projects;
    • interpret and explain guidelines, findings, and conclusions; resolve problems;
    • Propose substantive improvements or enhancements; and ensure the optimal use of the limited resources.
    • Skill in oral and written communication to effectively establish and maintain contacts, relationships, and partnerships;
    • Interact, coordinate, collaborate, and network with agencies and organizations;
    • Disseminate information; respond to inquiries and initiatives;
    • Clearly and respectfully provide information; education, and training.
