    Bennett AerospaceInc. has an *immediate* opening for a highly motivated Proposal Specialist located at our Headquarters office in Cary, NC. The Successful candidate will collaborate with key stakeholders who are responsible for the execution and management of the development of all government proposals. The successful candidate will report directly and responsively to the Bennett Aerospace Senior Proposal Manager in Cary, NC.


    Key Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Write and develop concise and persuasive content for business proposals (of various Government contract types as well as RFIs, White Papers, SBIRs & Sources Sought notices). 
    • Collaborate with internal and external Subject Matter Experts (“SMEs”) to create client-focused content. 
    • Understand and act upon Federal RFP requirements, evaluate inputs received, and develop a Proposal Compliance matrix to ensure full compliance, often without direct supervision. 
    • Under direction from Senior Proposal Manger and self-direction, tailor proposal response to reflect the planned strategy, incorporate feedback from SMEs and proposal team, and ensure compliance with RFP specifications both with and without direct input from supervisor.
    • Reviews, evaluates and incorporates inputs received from various functional subject matter experts, and members of the proposal team. 
    • Ensure proposal-writing standards for readability, consistency, and tone. 
    • Participate in multi-stage review process and revise technical proposal based on the outcomes of each review stage. 
    • Use graphics and pictorial tools as needed, ensuring that all plans and documentation are understandable to various stakeholders. (Uses graphical tools including, but not limited to, node-to-node charts, use cases, sequence or activity charts, functional flow block diagrams, structure charts, allocation charts, data.


    Job Requirements:


    Education and Experience:


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree in an academic discipline: English, Marketing, Technical Writing, Communications, Journalism
    • 3-5 years experience working in a business or corporate setting.
    • Applications: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe
    • Suite (i.e. InDesign, Acrobat Reader/Pro).Industry Experience: Government contracting, preferred
    • Writing experience—preferably in proposal, marketing, business, or technical writing.
    • Strong background with Government proposal writing experience (familiar with Shipley method for Government proposal preparation). 
    • Experience working with and interviewing internal SMEs to develop persuasive text.
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities.
    • Strong ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with others.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and outside contacts at all levels, both in oral and written form
    • Works toward common goals by supporting, encouraging and sharing information with colleagues, both internal and external
    • Able to multi-task productively; is well organized, using time management processes and procedures effectively
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment



    Abilities and Skills:

    • Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
    • Self-motivated with minimal oversight.


    Applicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.

    Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance if required.


    • Successful Pass of Bennett Aerospace Background Investigation, Drug Screening and Credit Check.
