Job Description:

Bennett Aerospace, Inc. has an opening for a highly motivated Staff Software Engineer I in support of the Applied Research Associates (ARA) facility located in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain software for use to simulate weapon effects on targets using physical models and data from a variety of sources.
• Quality assurance, testing, documentation, and technical support: for the various tool suites
• Work incorporated system design, UI development, data processing, cloud services, and physical modeling within an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Work with data structures and modeling to support migration to domain-specific data models as they are adopted by the weapons effects community, to include target structures, weapon data, equipment and personnel, and their vulnerability to varied weapons effects and materials

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Two to four years of developing, testing, and debugging high performance code in C/C++.

• Must have experience with at least one of the following: GIS, physics-based simulation, or geometric modeling.

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Skills and Abilities:

• C/C++ 
• GIS, physics-based simulation, or geometric modeling
• Web development (Python, Linux, virtual machine)

Security Requirements:

Clearance Level Required: SECRET

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government Secret security clearance if required.

• Successful Pass of Bennett Aerospace Background Investigation, Drug Screening and Credit Check.
