Job Description:

 

Bennett Aerospace, Inc. has an opening for a full-time Intelligence Analyst specializing in Research and Technology Protection to support the Army Futures Command (AFC) Cross Functional Team (CFT) at AFC Headquarters in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide RTP program assistance, including CPI assessments and Critical Functions (CF) analysis, threat identification, vulnerability analysis, risk evaluation, and countermeasures development recommendations to the assigned CFT.
  • Plan, collect, analyze and review scientific and technical data across the Army designated modernization priority areas for each CFT.
  • Support threat intelligence studies and assessments in areas including, but not limited to, development, production, and life cycle management of modernization capabilities and AFC-supported technologies supporting development of the CFT Program Protection Implementation Plan IAW CDRL A001.
  • Identify and recommend actions needed to meet high priority requirements and taskings assigned to the CFT.
  • Support the review of Program Protection Plans (PPP).
  • Support Army program protection planning processes and the application of horizontal protection in Army-led joint research and acquisition efforts by updating and maintaining the CFT Acquisition Security Access Database.
  • Assess complex systems or capabilities for RTP integration (e.g., platform and payload, test and evaluation, and field operations) and provide recommendations for improved RTP solutions.
  • Develop, maintain and update documents in an access database for use on a classified AFC operated SharePoint site and provide a tracking matrix on the status of all programs supported (i.e., program milestone, PPP status, type of assessments conducted, etc.)).
  • Assess the effectiveness of threat data to support RTP needs. A vulnerability assessment includes development of threat data requirements, submission into the U.S. intelligence network, and integration of final threat products into RTP planning and execution for HQ AFC  and its MSCs Concept Development activities, Projects, Programs, and Program Manager’s Programs of Record and Urgent Operational Needs. The assessment shall also identify how the AFC can improve the RTP assessment process and provide recommendations for modifications to the threat data production process.
  • Assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of policy and guidance for RTP processes and Security and Intelligence functions.
  • Assess, refine and implement improved program protection processes for CPI assessments and CF analyses, as approved by the Government, and work to improve threat and vulnerability analysis, risk evaluation, and countermeasure development.
  • Provide all RTP lessons learned and any quality improvement to business services provided on a regular basis, as improvements are identified IAW CDRL D001.
  • Identify, report, and, upon Government approval, integrate horizontal protection “best practices” into Army efforts
  • Survey the AFC and determine the quality of RTP support provided and steps needed to address RTP process shortfalls IAW CDRL C001.
  • Provide RTP program assistance to the monthly Media Analysis Review and other security assessments.
  • Plan, collect, analyze, and review publicly available information, scientific, and technical data with relevance across the Army’s designated transformation priority areas. 
  • Monitor and review documents from multiple media sources to identify technology protection issues and violations of disclosure policy or classification guidance set forth by various stakeholder organizations.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and accurate written documents that communicate findings and provide analysis of trends and issues.
  • Produce final analytical products in Government designated format and create iterative enhancements to the final analytical product based on Government feedback.

Qualifications

Education and Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelors’ Degree (engineering, computer science, political science), and ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, at a minimum. 
  • Knowledge of DoD processes

Security Requirements:

Clearance Level Required: Top Secret/ SCI

 

  • Must be a US Citizen with Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.
  • Successful Pass of Bennett Aerospace Background Investigation, Drug Screening and Credit Check.

Program Description:

 

United States (U.S.) AFC conducts full spectrum research and technology threat protection (RTP) activities, which include RTP, intelligence analytics, and intelligence security (foreign disclosure representative) personnel services. The primary function is to raise the performance level of Army modernization technology protection activities Army-wide, concurrently while operating in conjunction with the AFC Head Quarters (HQ), its subordinate organizations, and related stakeholders.

 

The U.S. AFC HQ geographically dispersed research laboratories and engineering centers are developing advanced technology that will form the heart of the Army’s future fighting force. Identification and protection of those technologies are essential to the Army’s mission and capabilities. It is also essential that the Army understands the effect of the compromise to the supply chain and readiness of the future force should any adversary unlawfully acquire knowledge of the U.S. advanced technologies. AFC HQ and its Major Subordinate Commands (MSC) require an integrated RTP program with the ability to perform these critical missions with a high degree of confidence of success.
